Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  • While the pasta cooks, chop the dill pickles into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, dill pickle juice, dried dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Drain the cooked pasta and rinse it with cold water to cool.
  • Add the cooled pasta to the dressing bowl and mix gently to coat.
  • Fold in the chopped dill pickles.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise and whole wheat pasta. Chill the salad well for improved flavor.
