Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.

  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the crushed pineapple along with its juice.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes
